Ireland Hostetler

Ireland Hostetler is in her fourth year with the University of Iowa football program, and her second as director of internal operations for football. She previously served in the role of recruiting operations and special events coordinator from 2022-24, and student assistant for operations and recruiting as an undergraduate from 2017-21.

Hostetler supports the operations within the football program with the coordination of team travel, logistics and events. She manages the hiring, supervision and evaluations of the Iowa football staff to ensure optimal office coverage and exceptional administrative support.

The Hawkeyes have had sustained success -- winning 61 games -- during her seven-year tenure, earned high-level bowl game berths each year, appeared in two Big Ten Championship games and has been ranked in the final AP Top 25 five times.

Prior to joining the Iowa staff, Hostetler served as an operations and events intern with the Sugar Bowl (August 2021-February, 2022), while at the same time serving as a gameday media assistant with the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans.

Hostetler earned her bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management from the University of Iowa, with event management concentration and a minor in communication studies. She is a native of Kalona, Iowa.
