Former Hawkeye, Noah Shannon, is in his first year as assistant director of player development with the University of Iowa football program. He most recently worked as a defensive student assistant with the Hawkeyes.
Shannon saw action in 42 games from 2019-22, including 28 starts over his last three years of competition. The native of Montgomery, Illinois, earned All-Big Ten honorable mention accolades in 2021 and 2022, helping Iowa to 18 combined wins over those two seasons and a Big Ten West Division title in 2021.
As a two-year starter, he amassed 91 tackles, including 10.5 for loss and four sacks, in 2021 and 2022.
Shannon was selected by his teammates as a representative on the team’s Player Council in 2023.
Shannon earned his bachelor’s degree in enterprise leadership in 2022 from the University of Iowa.
