The University of Iowa track and field team concluded day three of competition at the Tom Jones, Bryan Clay, Mt. Sac and Kansas Relays Friday afternoon. Juniors Lizzy Korczak and Wisdom Williams collected event wins in the javelin and shot put, respectively.

Smith Secures Gold in Kansas

The University of Iowa track and field team wrapped up day two of competition across three meets, the Bryan Clay Invitational, Mt. SAC Relays, and Kansas Relays, on Thursday afternoon. Junior Sean Smith highlighted the day taking home the gold in the men’s hammer throw with a personal-best and all-time finish of 68.25 meters.

Arboleda Sets School Record, Hawkeyes Claim 5 Event Wins to Close Outdoor Opener

University of Iowa freshman Maria Arboleda posted a program record in her debut in the high jump on Saturday afternoon. Arboleda cleared 1.87 meters to win the event.

Johnson Shatters School Record to Close Weekend

TIFFIN, Ohio – University of Iowa track and field sophomore Ryan Johnson crushed his previous program record at the Robinson Family Open in Tiffin, Ohio, with a 24.59-meter throw. Johnson’s heave is the second-farthest in NCAA D1 in 2025.

Hawkeyes Cap Strong Weekend at Missouri, Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – University of Iowa track and field concluded a stellar weekend of competition at the Meyo Invitational and Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational on Saturday. The Hawkeyes wrapped up the Meyo Invitational with an update to the Iowa all-time list, two event titles and 15 personal bests. At the Dr. McGuire Invite, Iowa secured five personal bests and two updates to the top-ten list.

Hawkeyes Impress in First Roadtrip of 2025

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – University of Iowa track and field won a combined six events to open its weekend at Missouri and Notre Dame on Friday evening. Annie Wirth highlighted the action at the Dr. Rick McGuire Invite in Columbia, Missouri, winning the pentathlon with a personal-best 3,890 points to move to sixth all-time at Iowa. Pauline Bikembo (women’s long jump), Ryan Johnson (weight throw) and Emmanuel Njoku (men’s long jump) also collected victories.

Hawkeyes Close Out Wieczorek Invitational with Updates to Top-10 List

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa track and field made three updates to the program’s top-ten list on Saturday afternoon at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational inside the Hawkeye Indoor Track Facility. Freshmen Lillian Harden (60-meter hurdles) and Damaris Mutunga (400 meters) entered the all-time record book in their respective events. Sophomore Kai Graves-Blanks moved to eighth on Iowa’s all-time list in the 60-meter hurdles.

Wamokpego Notches School Record at Jimmy Grant Invite

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa track and field capped the weekend with another school record at the Jimmy Grant Invitational on Saturday night at the Hawkeye Indoor Track Facility. Returning All-American Daniela Wamokpego tallied a 13.32-meter mark in the triple jump, updating Iowa’s program record and tying the national lead.
