Miles Wilson Season 2024-25

2025 -- Indoor - Ran collegiate bests in mile at Larry Wieczorek Invite (4:12.37), 3,000 meters at Hawkeye Invite (8:17.08), and 5,000 meters at BU Hemery Valentine Invite (14:15.42).

2024 -- Track - Did not compete... President’s List and Dean’s List student (Spring 2024)... Cross Country - Competed in five of six races... Iowa’s top finisher at B1G Championships, placing 63rd with a collegiate-best 23:54.5 (8,000 meters) and at B1G Preview, placing 19th  in 24:05.4 (8,000 meters)... Iowa’s second finisher at NCAA Midwest Regional, placing 61st with a collegiate-best 30:45.7, Bradley Pink Classic, placing 34th in 24:24.2 (8,000 meters), and at Gans Creek Classic, placing 56th in 24:11.8 (8,000 meters)... Academic All-Big Ten... President’s List and Dean’s List student (Fall 2024)... letterwinner.

2023 -- Cross Country - Competed in six of seven races... ran collegiate-bests in 6,000 meters at Hawkeye Invite (18:21.1) and five miles at Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite (25:04.2)... ran season bests in 8,000 meters at Badger Classic (25:20.6) and and 10,000 meters at NCAA Midwest Regional (33:11.4)... Dean’s List student (Fall 2023)... letterwinner.

High School -- Two-time first-team all conference… district champion… elite all-state member as a senior. Placed seventh at the state meet his senior year and was a part of the Cedar Rapids Kennedy eighth-place team… set school records in the 1,600 meters (4:16.33), 3,200 meters (9:13.03), and 5,000 meters (15:07)… first-team all-conference as a junior and senior on the track team… district champion in the boys 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter races… finished 7th and 6th, respectively, at the state meet in the 3,200 in 2022 and 2023… finished 6th and 8th, respectively, in the 1,600 in 2022 and 2023… coached by Brian Annis and Curtiss Pakkabeier… graduating class valedictorian… received the AP Scholar Award in 2022… National Honor Society member.

Personal -- Born December 4, 2004… parents are Joe Wilson and Sarah Holstrom… has two siblings – CJ and Dayton… grandfather Steve Wilson played golf at UNI… finance major.
