2026 -- Indoor - Placed second in 600 meters with a collegiate-best 1:27.16 at B1G Championships, earning second-team All-Big Ten honors... that time ranks second all-time at Iowa... placed seventh in 800 meters with a collegiate-best and team-leading 2:04.79 at Meyo Invite, which ranks third all-time at Iowa... anchored school 4x400-meter relay that clocked 3:29.69 at Tyson Invite, which ranks second all-time at Iowa... Dean’s List (Fall 2025)... Outdoor - Ran a collegiate-best 2:03.82 in 800 meters at at Florida Relays, which ranks third all-time at Iowa.

2025 -- Indoor - B1G Champion in 600 meters, running a season-best 1:28.18... ran season bests in 400 meters at Tyson Invite (54.55) and 800 meters at Meyo Invite (2:11.12)... Outdoor - Ran second legs on team-leading 4x800-meter relay (8:41.93) and distance medley relay (11:28.80) at Drake Relays... the 4x800-meter relay time ranks third and the distance medley relay ranks fourth all-time at Iowa... ran second leg on Drake Relays champion 4x400-meter relay (University Division-3:40.67)... won 800 meters with a season-best 2:05.39 at Musco Twilight... also ran 800 meters at Pepsi Florida Relays (2:06.46) and B1G Championships (2:07.57)... USTFCCCA all-academic team member... Dean’s List (Spring 2025)... Academic All-Big Ten... letterwinner.

2024 -- Indoor - Placed sixth in heptathlon with a season-best 5,276 points at B1G Championships... won heptathlon at Larry Wieczorek Invite (5,256 points), earning B1G Men’s Co-Field Event Athlete of the Week honors... won high jump (6-5, 1.96m) and placed second in 60-meter hurdles (8.32), pole vault (13-5 1/4, 4.10m) and 1,000 meters (2:51.50) as part of Larry Wieczorek Invite heptathlon... placed second in pentathlon at Jimmy Grant Invite (3,676 points)... Outdoor - Placed ninth in decathlon at Jim Click Shootout with a season-best 7,085 points... posted collegiate bests in 100 meters (10.54-wind-aided) and 400 meters (49.60) as part of Jim Click Shootout decathlon... placed fifth in decathlon at B1G Championships (6,967 points), winning 110-meter hurdles (14.46)... posted a collegiate-best 125-2 (38.16m) in discus at Musco Twilight... letterwinner.

 

 

2023 -- Indoor - Did not compete... Outdoor - Won 100 meters (10.91), placed second in shot put (40-6 3/4 (12.36m), and placed third in high jump (6-4, 1.93m), 110-meter hurdles (14.88) and 400 meters (51.15) as part of USATF U20 decathlon.

High School -- 10-time state track meet qualifier… five-time state track medalist in four different events (110-meter hurdles, high jump, shuttle hurdle relay, 400-meter relay)… helped tea, to fourth and seventh-place finishes at state track meet during his career… set school records in 110-meter hurdles (14.58), and as part of shuttle hurdle relay (59.7/13.5 split) and 400-meter relay (43.51)… coached by Bill Capaldo, Ben Zizis, Grant Rampton, Anthony Capaldo and Tim TeBrink… three-year all-district selection and second team all-state wide receiver in football… competed at the annual Shrine Bowl as a senior and was a Gold Honor Roll.

Personal -- Born June 29, 2004… parents are Chris Capaldo and Brenda Hummel… has two siblings – Andrea and Zach… exercise science major.
