2026 -- Indoor - Placed fourth in heptathlon with a collegiate-best and team-leading 5,670 points at B1G Championships... that mark ranks fifth all-time at Iowa... posted collegiate bests in high jump (6-8 1/4, 2.04m) and 1,000 meters (2:44.76) as part of B1G Championships heptathlon... placed second in heptathlon at Jimmy Grant Alumni Invite (5,625 points) and fifth at New Mexico Collegiate Classic (5,423 points)... led team in high jump (6-8 1/4, 2.04m) and pole vault (15-1, 4.60m)... ran a collegiate-best 8.18 in 60-meter hurdles at Hawkeye Invite and Arkansas Invite... also posted collegiate bests in 800 meters (2:06.42) and long jump (23-5 1/2, 7.15m) at Arkansas Invite, and pole vault at Larry Wieczorek Invite (15-5, 4.70m).

2025 -- Indoor - Placed third in heptathlon at B1G Championships with a season-best 5,528 points... placed seond in 60-meter hurdles (8.18) and third in 60 meters (6.98) and high jump (6-6 3/4, 2.00m) as part of B1G heptathlon... placed fourth in hepathlon at Dr. Rick McGuire Invite (5,408 points)... won pentathlon with a season-best and team-leading 3,660 points at Jimmy Grant Alumni Invite... Iowa’s B1G Sportsmanship Award winner... Outdoor - Tallied a collegiate-best 7,221 points in decathlon at Mt. SAC Relays... that point total ranks sixth all-time at Iowa... recorded collegiate bests in 110-meter hurdles (14.32), high jump (6-7, 1.96m), pole vault (15-1, 4.60m), javelin (139-6, 42.52m), and season bests in 100 meters (10.79), 400 meters (50.04), and shot put (40-4 1/4, 12.30m) as part of Mt. SAC Relays decathlon... placed sixth in decathlon at B1G Championships (7,193 points), posting collegiate bests in javelin (141-2, 43.03m) and 1,500 meters (4:41.45)... posted a season-best 21-6 1/4 (6.56m) in long jump at UCF Black & Golf Invite... letterwinner.

2024 -- Indoor - Placed sixth in heptathlon with a season-best 5,276 points at B1G Championships... won heptathlon at Larry Wieczorek Invite (5,256 points), earning B1G Men’s Co-Field Event Athlete of the Week honors... won high jump (6-5, 1.96m) and placed second in 60-meter hurdles (8.32), pole vault (13-5 1/4, 4.10m) and 1,000 meters (2:51.50) as part of Larry Wieczorek Invite heptathlon... placed second in pentathlon at Jimmy Grant Invite (3,676 points)... Outdoor - Placed ninth in decathlon at Jim Click Shootout with a season-best 7,085 points... posted collegiate bests in 100 meters (10.54-wind-aided) and 400 meters (49.60) as part of Jim Click Shootout decathlon... placed fifth in decathlon at B1G Championships (6,967 points), winning 110-meter hurdles (14.46) and posting a collegiate-best 22-10 1/2 (6.87m) in long jump... posted a collegiate-best 125-2 (38.16m) in discus at Musco Twilight... letterwinner.

 

 

2023 -- Indoor - Did not compete... Outdoor - Won 100 meters (10.91), placed second in shot put (40-6 3/4 (12.36m), and placed third in high jump (6-4, 1.93m), 110-meter hurdles (14.88) and 400 meters (51.15) as part of USATF U20 decathlon.

High School -- 10-time state track meet qualifier… five-time state track medalist in four different events (110-meter hurdles, high jump, shuttle hurdle relay, 400-meter relay)… helped tea, to fourth and seventh-place finishes at state track meet during his career… set school records in 110-meter hurdles (14.58), and as part of shuttle hurdle relay (59.7/13.5 split) and 400-meter relay (43.51)… coached by Bill Capaldo, Ben Zizis, Grant Rampton, Anthony Capaldo and Tim TeBrink… three-year all-district selection and second team all-state wide receiver in football… competed at the annual Shrine Bowl as a senior and was a Gold Honor Roll.

Personal -- Born June 29, 2004… parents are Chris Capaldo and Brenda Hummel… has two siblings – Andrea and Zach… exercise science major.
