Carson Lane Season 2023-24

2026 -- Indoor - Ran collegiate bests in 800 meters at Arkansas Invite (1:53.33), 1,000 meters at Jimmy Grant Alumni Invite (2:25.69), and mile at Meyo Invite (4:04.15)... the mile time ranks third all-time at Iowa.

2025 -- Indoor - Ran season bests in mile at Meyo Invite (4:10.08) and 1,000 meters at Jimmy Grant Alumni Invite (2:27.22)... the mile time leads the team... Outdoor - Ran collegiate bests in 800 meters at UCF Black & Gold Invite (1:52.26) and 1,500 meters at Bryan Clay Invite (3:51.74)... ran 1:52.46 in 800 meters at Bryan Clay Invite... ran lead leg on team-leading distance medley relay at Drake Relays (9:54.74)... Academic All-Big Ten... letterwinner.

2024 -- Indoor - Ran a collegiate-best 1:22.70 in 600 meters at Meyo Invite and a season-best 1:54.58 in 800 meters at Wisconsin Windy City Invite... ran a season-best 4:14.13 in mile at Iowa Open... Outdoor - Did not compete... letterwinner.

 

High School -- Three-time individual all-conference… placed second at state in the 4×800 and 1,600 DMR in 2023… fifth place in the 800-meters… 4A team state champions… indoor state champion in the 1,600-meters… two-time team conference champion… 800-meter conference champion in 2021… holds three school records (4×800 – 7:38.12, 1,600-meter – 4:17.81, Mile – 4:19.44)… two-time first-team all-district in cross country, second-team all-conference as a senior… four-time varsity letter winner, three-time all-conference, all-district, and state qualifier in swimming… coached by Matt Jaschen, Scott Moore, and Sara Schwendinger.

Personal -- Born December 10, 2004… parents are Jamie and Chris Lane… has two siblings — Chance and Caden… business analytics & information systems  major.
