Bryce Ruland Season 2024-25

2026 -- Indoor - Did not compete... Outdoor - Won discus with a season-best 187-2 (57.06m) at Drake Relays and at Rittgers Invite (179-4, 54.66m)... posted a collegiate-best 58-3 (17.75m) in shot put at Drake Relays.

2025 -- Indoor - Posted collegiate bests in shot put at B1G Championships (58-4 3/4, 17.80m, 16.87m) and weight throw (67-0, 20.42m) at at Dr. Rick McGuire Invite... the weight throw mark ranks eighth all-time at Iowa and the shot put mark leads the team... Outdoor - Won Drake Relays discus title with a collegiate-best and team-leading 189-0 (57.62m)... that mark ranks eighth all-time at Iowa... won discus (182-11, 55.75m) and placed second in shot put (58-2 1/2, 17.74m) at UCF Black & Gold Invite, earning B1G Freshman of the Week honors... letterwinner.

2024 -- Won U20 World Championships discus title (205-4, 62.59).

High School -- 2024 World Athletics U20 discus champion… 2023 Nike outdoor national champion in discus… three-time state champion in discus setting the state record twice… four-time conference and regional discus champion… 2023 Southern Lakes conference boys track athlete of the year… 2023 Racine county boys track athlete of the year… coached by father, Mike Ruland… also a powerlifting two-time state champ holding three state records.

Personal -- Born September 26, 2006… parents Mike and Suzanne Ruland… father played football at University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point… has one sister, Brooke… sports and recreation management major.
