Iowa Items -- First-team All-American as part of outdoor 4x400-meter relay (2025).

2025 -- Indoor - Placed fifth in 400 meters with a collegiate-best 46.59 at B1G Championships... that time ranks eighth all-time at Iowa... ran lead leg on 4x400-meter relay that placed second at B1G Championships (3:06.18), earning second-team All-Big Ten honors... named to All-Big Ten Freshman team... placed third in 600 meters with a collegiate-best 1:19.93 at New Mexico Collegiate Classic... Outdoor - First-team All-American, running lead leg on team-leading 4x400-meter relay that placed fourth in 3:01.61 at NCAA Championships... that time ranks second all-time at Iowa... placed sixth in 400 meters with a collegiate-best 46.12 at B1G Championships... ran lead leg on 4x400-meter relay that placed second at B1G Championships in 3:04.63, earning second team All-Big Ten and All-Big Ten Freshman Team honors... ran 400 meters at NCAA West First Round (46.16, 46.14), Tom Jones Memorial (46.36), placed fourth at Drake Relays (46.71) and won event at Musco Twilight (47.14)... ran second leg on 4x400-meter relay that placed second in at Drake Relays in 3:05.78... letterwinner.

 

High School -- 2024 Texas State team Champion and 4x100m State Champion… three-time Texas state finalist… 4×400 Texas gold medalist… two-time Texas state 400m finalist… two-time Regional Champion… two-time District Champion… Texas state record holder in the 4x100m… nation and world record holder in the high school boys 4x100m (38.92)… holds the  #4 all-time Texas 4x400m time (3:10.2)… coached by Elton Erv and Danny Mcray… also played basketball and football.

Personal -- Born March 16, 2005… parents Josh Fontenot and Lisa Royster…. Father Josh played basketball at Sowele Technical College… has one sister, Jalise… electrical engineering major.
