Josie Hood Season 2026-27

2025-26 -- Picked up two event wins... swam second leg on team-leading 800 free relay that clocked 7:12.78 at B1G Championships... that time ranks seventh all-time at Iowa... swam collegiate bests in 500 free (4:57.41) and 100 fly (55.56), and season bests in 200 fly (2:02.53) at B1G Championships... Academic All-Big Ten... letterwinner... earned team’s Strength and Conditioning Award.

2024-25 -- Posted collegiate bests in 200 free (1:50.75) and 200 fly (2:02.17), anchored team-leading 200 medley relay (1:40.15) and swam third leg on team-leading 200 free relay (1:32.67) at B1G Championships... posted season bests in 100 free vs. Nebraska (52.49) and 100 fly at B1G Championships (55.75)... swam on three winning relays (one 200-free, one 200-medley, and one 400-medley)... Academic All-Big Ten... letterwinner.

2023-24 -- Posted collegiate bests in 50 free (23.93), 100 free (51.53), and 100 fly (55.81) at Hawkeye Invite, and 200 free (1:50.81) and 200 IM (2:06.76) at B1G Quad Duals... letterwinner.

 

 

Personal -- Born April 2, 2005.... parents are Ames and Sara Hood... has a brother - Andrew... exercise science major.
