Hawk Item — Closed out her career third in 200 breast (2:12.71), fifth in 200 IM (2:02.19), sixth in 400 IM (4:21.20), and seventh in 100 breast (1:02.48) in the UI record books.

2015-16 — Posted an NCAA “B” qualifying time in the 200 breast (2:14.58)… ranked second on the team in the 200 breast and 200 IM (2:03.20)… swam season-best times of 1:03.21 (100 breast) and 4:24.77 (400 IM)… advanced to the “B” final and placed 14th in 200 breast (2:14.58) at 2016 Big Ten Championships… Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

2014-15 — Swam NCAA “B” qualifying times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke… posted collegiate-best times in the 100 breast (1:02.48), 200 breast (2:12.71), 200 IM (2:02.19), and 400 IM (4:21.20)… was second on the team in both IM events… garnered team’s Pennington/Strength of Character Award… letterwinner.

2013-14 — Registered four times that rank in the top-10 in school history… swam the second-fastest 200-breast (2:13.69), an NCAA “B” qualifying time and sixth-best 200-IM (2:02.97) at Big Ten Championships… recorded the sixth-best 400-IM (4:22.15) and ninth-fastest 100-breast (1:03.33) time in school history at the Hawkeye Invitational… registered 15 top-five finishes… placed ninth in the 200-breast at Big Ten Championships… letterwinner.

2012-13 — Swam collegiate best times in 100 free (57.30) vs. Western Illinois, 200 IM (2:07.19), 100 breast (1:06.03) and 200 breast (2:22.29) at the Hawkeye Invitational, and 400 IM (4:35.39) vs. Northwestern… posted five top-five finishes… letterwinner.

High School — Junior National qualifier… three-time team MVP… state finalist in the 100 breast and school record holder in the 200 IM… two-time conference champion in the 100 breast… best times are 1:06.01 (100 breast), 2:19.13 (200 breast) and 2:07.70 (200 IM)… coached by Glenn Brown.

Personal — Born Nov. 1, 1993… daughter of Dave and Cindy Champa… has three sisters, Claire, Teresa and Emily… majoring in health and human physiology.
