2017-18 Honors — CSCAA honorable mention Scholar All-American… Academic All Big Ten… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester. 2017-18 — Posted NCAA “B” qualifying times in the 100 back (53.36) and 200 back (1:57.22) at the Big Ten Championships… swam to a school record in the prelims of the 100 back at Big Tens, touching in 53.36 seconds… posted collegiate-best times in 100 back, 200 back, and 50 free at Big Tens… scored in five events at the Big Ten Championships… placed seventh in 200-free relay (1:31.18), eighth in 800-free relay (7:08.06) and 400-medley relay (3:37.71), 16th in 100 back (53.82) and 24th in 200 back (1:58.96)… led the team in the 100 back, was second in 200 back and 200 IM (2:03.66), and third in 50 free (23.10)… member of team-leading 200-free relay, 800-free relay, and 400-medley relay… posted five individual event wins on the season.

2015-16 — Swam NCAA “B” qualifying times in 100 and 200 back… posted a school-record time of 53.63 seconds in 100 back at the Big Ten Championships… swam collegiate bests in 100 free (50.95), 100 back (53.63), 200 back (1:57.28), and 200 IM (2:04.00)… ranked third on team in 50 free (23.20) and fourth in 100 free (50.95) and 200 IM (2:04.00)… member of the team’s second-fastest 200-free relay, 400-free relay, and 200-medley relay… earned team points in four events at Big Ten Championships… was a member of seventh-place 400-medley relay, placed ninth in 100 back, part of 10th-place 200-free relay, and finished 12th in 200 back… swam to pool record in 400-free relay (3:22.84) at Iowa State’s Beyer Pool… swam to four individual wins, including two in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series dual against Iowa State, and two relay titles.

2014-15 — Swam to NCAA “B” qualifying times in the 100 and 200 back, leading team in both events… recorded collegiate-best times in the 50 free (23.12), 100 free (51.32), 100 back (54.32), 200 back (1:57.81), and 200 IM (2:04.16)… holds UI school records as a member of the 200-free relay (1:0.96) and 400-medley relays (3:38.68)… holds fourth-fastest times in 50 free and 100 back… swam to three top-10 finishes on relays at Big Ten Championships; 400-medley relay (eighth, 3:38.68), 200-free relay (ninth, 1:30.96), and 400-free relay (10th, 3:21.34)… letterwinner.

High School — Earned All-America honors in the 100-yard backstroke as a junior at Lane Tech College Prep… four-time all-conference, two-time all-state, two-time team most valuable player and team captain honoree… has four top-seven finishes at the Illinois state meet in the 200-IM and 100 back, is a 15-time city champion out of 16 events in her prep career… top times include 23.73 (50 free), 55.62 (100 back), 1:59.52 (200 back), and 2:04.12 (200 IM)… holds school records in 10 events… competed in the YMCA Nationals Short Course and Long Course Championships and also competed at the 2013 Winter Junior Nationals.

Personal — Born April 17, 1996… daughter of Patricia and Patrick Lavelle… has three younger brothers, William, Matthew, and Patrick… majoring in art.
