2019-20 Honors — Academic All-Big Ten selection… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… Dean’s List honoree during the fall and spring semesters. 2019-20 — Recorded collegiate-bests in the 50 free (25.94), 100 fly (1:01.24), and 200 fly (2:16.62)… swam season bests in the 200 free (2:01.55), 500 free (5:19.67), 1,000 free (10:55.26), and 1,650 free (18:03.67).
2018-19 Honors — Named to the Dean’s List during the fall semester. 2018-19 — Ranked second on the team in the 1,000 free (10:33.93) and 1,650 free (17:35.11).
High School — Two-time MVC all-conference team… 2018 MVC Athlete of the Year… 2018 team captain… four-time letter winner… helped team to a conference title junior year… was first in the 200 free, third in 500 free, and 400 free relay set new conference and school record as a junior… MVC conference runner up senior year, placed second in the 500 free and 400-free relay set conference record… Iowa City West school record holder in 200- and 400-free relays… high school swimming coach was Robert Miecznikowski.
Personal — Born Sept. 7, 2000… daughter of Candace and Mitch Thomas… has one older sister, Jacintha, who currently is a Hawkeye diver… majoring is nursing.
