Lexi Horner Season 2020-21

2020-21 Honors – Academic All-Big Ten… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient. 2020-21 – Posted collegiate-bests in 200 IM (2:04.60) and 400 IM (4:25.85) at the Big Ten Championships… swam a season-best in 100 breast (1:04.29) and 200 breast (2:20.47).

2019-20 — Academic All-Big Ten selection… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… Dean’s List honoree during the fall and spring semesters. 2019-20 — Ranked second on the team in the 200 breast (2:19.52) and fifth in the 100 breast (1:06.01) and 200 fly (2:07.91)… also posted a collegiate best in the 400 IM (4:28.10).

2018-19 Honors — Academic All-Big Ten selection. 2018-19 — Led the team in the 100 breast (1:03.56) and 400 IM (4:20.09) and was second in the 200 breast (2:19.13), 200 IM (2:07.18), and 400 IM (4:29.27)… swam collegiate-bests in the 100 breast and 400 IM at the Big Ten Championships.

2017-18 — Swam collegiate-bests in the 100 breast (1:03.68) and 200 IM (2:05.17) at the Big Ten Championships and a collegiate-best in the 200-breast (2:18.23) against Purdue… ranked second on the team in the 100 and 200 breast and third in the 200 IM.

High School — Competed at Summer Futures qualifier in 2015, Winter Junior Nationals qualifier in 2016… NCSA Summer qualifier in 2016 and 2017… Winter Sectional qualifier from 2013-17… first-team all-state as a senior… won district competition all four years… two-time state champion in 200 IM (2:02.31) and 100 breast (1:03.75)… finished second in 200-medley relay and sixth in 400-free relay as a senior… was fourth in 200-medley relay and sixth in 400-free relay as a junior… was 15th in 200 IM and 20th in 100 breast as a freshman… placed fourth in 200 IM, fifth in 200-medley relay, eighth in 400-free relay, and 12th in 100 fly as a sophomore… helped team to a third place finish as a junior, sixth as sophomore and senior, and 10th as freshman… holds school records in 200 IM (2:02.31), 100 breast (1:03.75), 200-medley relay (1:46.49), and 400-free relay (3:33.64)… competed in triathlons from 2010-15… National Honor Society member… received the Silver Cord and finished in top 15 percent of class… high school coaches were Shari Walling, Darin Robertson, and Kristen Merkle.

Personal — Born Jan. 25, 1999, in Chandler, Arizona… daughter of Jeff and Sarah Horner… has a younger sister, Paige… majoring in health and human physiology.
