High School — won state titles in 3,200 meters (10:59.65) and as part of 3,200-meter relay (9:28.98) senior year… five-time placewinner at state track meet, finishing third at state cross country meet as a sophomore… nine-time conference champion in track… won seven regional titles in track and two in cross country… set school records in 1,600 (4:59.68) and 3,200 meters (10:49.54)… runner-up in 3,200 meters (10:50) at 2008 Midwest Meet of Champions… placed 11th in two miles (10:37.93) at 2008 Nike Outdoor Nationals, and fifth in mile (5:00.43) in 2007… also competed in volleyball and basketball… National Honor Society member… three-time academic all-state… coaches were Mike Verkaik and Dave DeKruyter.
