Emelia Thompson Season 2011-12

2012 — Indoor – competed in 60-meter hurdles (9.89) and long jump (15-2 3/4, 4.64m) at Iowa State Classic… placed ninth in long jump (15-6 3/4, 4.74m), 12th in high jump (4-6 1/4, 1.38m) and ran collegiate-best 60-meter hurdles (9.66) at Iowa Invite… Outdoor – posted collegiate bests in 100-meter hurdles (16.37) and shot put (29-5 1/4, 8.97m) and placed fifth in long jump (16-0 1/2, 4.89m) at Musco Twilight XIII… compted in 100-meter hurdles (17.43), long jump (15-6, 4.72m) and shot put (29-2 1/2, 8.90m) at Arkansas Spring Invite.

2011 — Indoor – posted posted collegiate bests in 60 (8.43) and 200 meters (27.50) at Jack Johnson Classic… won long jump (16-1 3/4, 4.92m) at Iowa Invite… Outdoor – won long jump with collegiate-best 16-5 (5.00m) at Cornell Open… ran collegiate bests in 100-meter hurdles (18.74) and 200 meters (27.72) at Musco Twilight XII.

High School — two-time state champion, placing in three other events at state meet… nine-time conference champion… team won two state, four district and three conference titles… set school record as part of 400-meter relay (49.30)… four-time all-conference and all-district, two-time all-state and one-time elite all-state selection… also competed in soccer and volleyball… academic all-state in 2009… National Honor Society member… coached by Marty Thomae.
