2017 — Indoor – placed ran 3,000 meters at  Meyo Invite (10:04.43), Larry Wieczorek Invite (10:09.28) and Big Ten Championships (10:10.41)… won mile at Iowa Open (4:58.86)… ran 1,000 meters at Hawkeye Invite (2:58.72) and mile at Black & Gold Premier (5:02.36)… Outdoor – placed seventh in 3,000-meter steeplechase with a team-leading 10:25.98 at Big Ten Championships… placed eighth in 3,000-meter steeplechase at Stanford Invite (10:34.93) and ninth at Drake Relays (10:48.90)… won 2,000-meter steeplechase (6:47.21) and ran 800 meters (2:19.45) at Baldy Castillo Invite… placed sixth in 1,500 meters at Musco Twilight (4:31.77)… Dean’s list student… academic All-Big Ten… letterwinner… Cross Country – competed in five of six races… ran collegiate bests in 4,000 meters at Hawkeye Invite (14:33.0) and  6,000 meters at NCAA Regional (21:27.12)… academic All-Big Ten… letterwinner.

2016 — Indoor – ran mile at Border Battle (5:10.95)… Outdoor – did not compete… Dean’s List student… Cross Country – ran season bests in 3,000 meters at Hawkeye Invite (10:53.2), 5,000 meters at Illinois State Invite (19:02.83) and 6,000 meters at NCAA Regional (22:26.5)… also competed at Regional Preview (22:28.5-6,000 meters) and Pre-Nationals (22:45.4-8,000 meters)… academic All-Big Ten… letterwinner.

2015 — Indoor –  led team in mile (4:57.26) and 3,000 meters (9:36.69)… placed 11th in 3,000 meters with a collegiate-best 9:36.69 at Big Ten Championships… placed eighth in mile with a collegiate-best 4:57.26 at Big 4 Duals… won 3,000 meters at Husker Invite (9:51.82)… Outdoor –  set school record in 3,000-meter steeplechase with her second-place finish of 10:23.15 at Stanford Invite… also led team in 5,000 meters (18:21.06)… placed 16th in 3,000-meter steeplechase at Drake Relays (10:47.39) and ran event at NCAA West Preliminary (10:53.14)… ran second leg on team-leading 6,400-meter relay (19:59.72) at Drake Relays… that time ranks seventh all-time at Iowa… placed 12th in 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:44.63) and 22nd in 5,000 meters (18:21.06) at Big Ten Championships… ran 1,500 meters at Baldy Castillo Invitational (4:32.79), Musco Twilight (4:33.19) and Beach Invite (4:34.55)… letterwinner… Cross Country – ran 6,000 meters at Bradley Pink Classic (22:09.2), Big Ten Championships (22:57.7) and NCAA Midwest Regional (22:37.1)… competed in 5,000 meters (19:00.1) at Notre Dame Invitational… Dean’s List student… letterwinner.

High School — three-time national champion in 1,500- and 2,000-meter steeplechase… junior Spanish record-holder in 2,000-meter steeplechase (6:45), placing seventh at 2013 World Youth Track and Field Championships… earned a silver medal at Spanish Outdoor Championships in 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:31) and a bronze medal in 3,000 meters at Spanish Indoor Championships (10:06)… accumulated eight national medals in total across three events (steeplechase, 1,500 and 3,000 meters).

Personal — born July 1, 1996… daughter of Miguel Angel Bote Valverde and Cayetana Gonzalez Hernandez… has a sister, Ana… open major.
