Taylor Arco Season 2019-20

2020 — Indoor – ran season bests in 400 meters at Rod McCravy Memorial (57.97), 600 meters at Meyo Invite (1:31.14), 800 meters at Iowa State Classic (2:08.94) and 1,000 meters at Larry Wieczorek Invite (2:51.52)… the 800-meter time ranks eighth all-time at Iowa.

2019 — Indoor – ran season bests in 600 meters (1:32.05) and 800 meters (2:10.47) at Meyo Invite… ran 600 meters at B1G Championships (1:32.28), Larry Wieczorek Invite (1:32.60) and Jimmy Grant Invite (1:32.82)… Outdoor – ran second leg on Drake Relays runner-up school record-setting 3,200-meter relay (8:31.84) and anchored team-leading sprint medley relay (3:52.85) at Florida Relays… anchored Drake Relays champion sprint medley relay (3:54.18)… ran collegiate-best and team-leading 800 meters at Bryan Clay Invite (2:06.06)… the 800-meter time ranks third and the sprint medley relay times rank fourth and sixth, respectively, all-time at Iowa… letterwinner.

2018 — Indoor – won 600 meters with a season-best 1:35.11 and ran season best 400 meters (58.77) at Wiezorek Invite… Outdoor – ran third legs on team leading 3,200-meter (9:15.26) and distance medley relays (12:03.04)… ran 800 meters at Battle on the Bayou (2:16.62) and Musco Twilight (2:17.25)… Cross Country – competed at the Hawkeye Invitational (16:53.1-4,000 meters).

2017 — Indoor – ran 600 meters at Larry Wieczorek Invite (1:40.41), Black & Gold Premier (1:40.26), Hawkeye Invite (1:43.48) and Border Battle (1:44.65)… Outdoor – ran on team-leading 3,200-meter relay at Florida Relays (8:56.21) and distance medley relay (12:12.28) at Drake Relays… ran 400 meters at Florida Relays (58.46) and 800 meters at Mt. SAC Relays (2:16.24)… letterwinner… Cross Country – competed at Hawkeye Invite (17:04.9-4,000 meters).

High School — won three league title and one county title in 800 meters… ran on 1,600-meter relay that won two league titles and one county title… five-time state meet qualifier and all-county honoree… two-time team captain in track, earning outstanding performance award three years… set school records in 800 meters (2:10.38) and as part of 1,600-meter (3:47.33), 3,200-meter (9:28.90), sprint medley (4:11.26) and distance medley (12:00.71) relays… coaches were Chase Frazier, Kevin Gillian and Taylor Frazier.

Personal — born October 20, 1998… daughter of Tiffany Leon-Guerrero and Christopher Arco… siblings are Zane Leon-Guerrero and Nathan Aguirre… nursing major.
