Pontiac Voting: The Hawkeyes Reach The Finals

Dec. 21, 2006

AND, THEN, THERE WERE ONLY FOUR!

Congratulations! You’ve helped the general scholarship fund at the University of Iowa reach the finals of the voting for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the 2006 college football season and move one step closer to earning $100,000!

Earlier this college football season, the UI football team’s seven-play goal-line stand at Syracuse secured the Hawkeyes’ 20-13 victory over the Orange and was voted the Pontiac Game Changing Performance for Week 2 of the 2006 college football season.

As a result of the voting, the UI’s general scholarship fund was presented a $5,000 contribution by Pontiac.

Friends of the University of Iowa and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes have stepped up big-time the past two weeks. Now, they have to crank it up another level because $100,000 is on the line…and really, really big-time team and school pride are on the line.

We’ve cleared three hurdles to the reach the finals along with three other great college football teams. Only one hurdle remains. Friends of the University of Iowa and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes again need to go to

www.pontiac.com/ncaa

and vote for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Voting for this year’s champion will continue to this year’s Bowl Championship Series title game on Jan. 8, where the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year and winner of the $100,000 contribution to that school’s general scholarship fund will be announced at halftime of the television broadcast of the game by FOX.

The UI will send you an e-mail on Friday for the next three weeks to remind you to vote. We’d ask that you put your own reminder on your calendar and that you forward this e-mail to as many friends of the University of Iowa and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes as possible. When doing so, remind them to put a tickler on their calendars.

As always, Go Hawks!
