MINNEAPOLIS — The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving team posted two school records during the first day of the Big Ten Championships at the University Aquatic Center in Minneapolis.
Sophomore Heather Arseth, juniors Karolina Wartalowicz and Abbey Tuchscherer, and freshman Olivia Kabacinski swam to a school record in the 200 medley relay final. The quartet swam to the wall in 1:40.97 to record a 10th place showing and a season best time.
The Hawkeyes reset the school record in the 800 freestyle relay final with a time of 7:14.99.
