The Hawkeyes opened the day with a, 39-6, win over Lock Haven. Third-ranked Sterling Dias started the dual by pinning Summer Batts in 56 seconds at 103 pounds. Second-ranked Ava Bayless accepted a forfeit at 110, while top-ranked Brianna Gonzalez earned an 11-0 win over Jayleah at 117 pounds. At 124, seventh-ranked Cali Leng secured a 10-0 tech fall against Bella Devito. Tenth-ranked Emily Frost defeated Lily Sherer, 4-2, at 131, and sixth-ranked Cadence Diduch followed by accepting a forfeit at 138 pounds. Ella Schmit made her return to the mat and pinned Paige Jackson in 1:49 at 145 pounds. Sixth-ranked Naomi Simon and fifth-ranked Alivia White each earned tech falls at 180 and 207 pounds, respectively, to close the dual.
Iowa then defeated Sacred Heart, 38-6. Top-ranked Rianne Murphy made her return to the mat and pinned Ahsia Torres in 35 seconds at 103 pounds. Emilie and Brianna Gonzalez followed at 110 and 117 pounds, respectively, each earning 10-0 tech. falls. At 124, Leng held on for a 4-3 victory over Ally Fitzgerald. Emmily Patneaud, Diduch and Schmit each secured tech. falls for the Hawkeyes in the next three weight classes. Simon picked up a top-five win at 180 pounds, pinning fifth-ranked Madison Sandquist in 1:11. At 207, White finished the dual with a pin over Madeline Hodges in 38 seconds.
The Hawkeyes then matched up with No. 19 Elmira College, winning, 37-10. Murphy kicked off the dual at 103 pounds with a 10-0 tech. fall against Taylor Green. Emilie Gonzalez accepted a forfeit at 110 pounds before her sister, Brianna, secured a 10-0 win over Yenyia Terry at 117. Leng then accepted a forfeit at 124 pounds. Patneaud pinned Hailey Berry in 35 seconds at 131, while Diduch defeated Gabby Bradigan, 10-0, at 138 pounds. Simon earned her third fall of the day when she pinned Hazel Dahlquist in 54 seconds at 180 pounds. White then accepted a forfeit at 207 pounds to close the dual.
Iowa ended the day with a 27-15 win over Presbyterian. At 103, Dias beat Chiara Barbieri, 5-0. Bayless got the nod at 110 pounds and defeated Grace York, 10-0. At 117, Brianna Gonzalez improved to 31-0 on the season with a 6-0 win over Chloe Dearwester. Leng secured her second top-five win of the season at 124 pounds with a 12-2 tech. fall over fifth-ranked Alyssa Mahan. Frost earned a, 10-0, win over Kassey Daugherty at 131 pounds. The Hawkeyes dropped back-to-back bouts at 128 and 145 as the Blue Hose were able to cut the Iowa lead, 20-13. Simon earned yet another win at 180 pounds, this time an 11-1 tech fall over Henlee Haynes. White closed out the dual once again at 207 pounds, defeating Maria Aiono, 8-6.
"We enjoyed closing out our dual competition season in Emily Frost's backyard. It's always special to compete in or near where our athletes are from. It was a homecoming for her and her support system and wrestling community in the area is very strong. I am so proud of how our women competed today and how they continue to look to improve themselves wheen tested against great competitors."
