2015 — Went 3-2 with a 3.67 ERA in 18 appearances… had 23 strikeouts against six walks in 27 innings… allowed 14 runs (11 earned) on 27 hits… didn’t allow a run in 11 appearances… tossed 4 1/3 innings of two-hit ball against Missouri State (5/30)… tallied his third win, allowing two runs on three hits in 1 1/3 innings, fanning four against Western Illinois (5/5)… notched his second win, throwing two innings of one-hit ball with one strikeout against Sacramento State (4/28)… threw 3 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and fanning three in relief against Nebraska (4/26)… notched his first win in relief, throwing one inning at Kansas (3/22).

2014 — Went 2-0 with a 9.22 ERA in 13 appearances… allowed 18 runs (14 earned) on 22 hits over 13 2/3 innings… had nine strikeouts against 10 walks… struck out a career-high five batters over three innings at Ohio State (5/3)… recorded the win in Iowa’s victory over Nebraska (3/23) after throwing 1/3 of an inning in relief… pitched three total innings in relief against Kansas State (3/7, 3/9) scattering two hits and allowing one earned run… recorded his first collegiate win at Austin Peay (2/15), allowing two runs on three hits in two innings of work.

At Iowa Central Community College (2012 & 2013) — Went 4-0 with a 2.27 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings as a freshman… went 4-3 with a 3.27 ERA as a sophomore… academic all-region honoree in 2012.

High School — Two-time first team all-state, four-time all-conference and all-district selection, compiling a 48-4 career record… earned the Bob Feller Pitching Award in 2011, which is given to the state’s best pitcher in Class 3A and was a first team elite all-state honoree… earned first team all-conference and all-district honors from his sophomore to senior seasons after earning second team all-conference and all-district distinction as a freshman… was MVP of the 2010 and 2011 Iowa State Baseball Championship games… was a Preseason Louisville Slugger All-American… went 8-1 with a 1.87 ERA as a freshman, 12-1 with a 1.63 ERA as a sophomore, 12-0 with a 1.25 ERA as a junior and 10-0 with a 0.89 ERA as a senior… 0.89 ERA is a single season school record… holds SHS wins record with 48, going 48-4 in five seasons… won four conference titles, two state championships and advanced to two state semifinals… played tight end on Solon’s 2010 state championship team… high school coach was Keith McSweeney.
