#31 Nolan DeLong Season 2026-27

2026 -- Played in first three games... has five tackles (two solo, three assists) on the season...  collected a career-high three tackles (one solo, career-high two assists) in 55-0 shutout over UNI... recorded two tackles (one solo, one assist) in 40-0 season-opening shutout vs. Northern Illinois.

2025 Honors -- Academic All-Big Ten... Coaches Appreciation Award, special teams... Dean's List student (2026 spring).  2025 -- Played in all 13 games... recorded his first career solo tackle in 37-0 shutout at Wisconsin and his first career assisted tackle in 41-3 win over Minnesota... letterwinner.

2024 Honors -- Academic All-Big Ten... Next Man In Award, offense. 2024 -- Played in eight games, but had no statistics... letterwinner.

2023 Honors -- Dean's List student (2023 fall). 2023 -- Saw first career action vs. Western Michigan, but had no statistics.

 

 

High School Honors -- Earned first-team Class 1A all-state honors as a senior and named team captain… named to Quad City Times All-Eastern Iowa team and named Player of the Year… named to Muscatine Journal All-Area team and co-Player of the Year… named first-team all-district and district MVP for offensive skill positions as a junior and senior… earned Des Moines Register first-team all-state honors as a junior for special teams play… third-team all-state running back by Iowa Newspaper Association as a junior… named to Muscatine Journal all-area team and Quad City Times all-Eastern Iowa team as a sophomore and junior… Iowa Newspaper Association second-team all-state linebacker as a sophomore… named first-team all-district and district MVP for defensive skill positions as a sophomore… earned first-team all-district honors as a freshman… two-time IHSAA Distinguished Academic Achievement Award recipient… academic all-district and all-conference honoree… Honor roll student throughout prep career. Career -- Four-year football letterman as running back and linebacker helping prep team reach state playoffs in final three seasons… rushed for 2,111 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior, with 111 passing yards and one touchdown and 49 receiving yards… on defense collected66 tackles, with 14 tackles for loss… averaged 38 yards on 28 punts… rushed for1,591 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior, with 137 passing yards and one touchdown… on defense recorded 60 tackles and one interception, while averaging 40.6 yards on 26 punts… rushed for 1,589 yards and 22 touchdowns as a sophomore, with 79 receiving yards, 55 tackles and one interception on defense… averaged 38.7 yards on 19 punts as a sophomore… rushed for 1,015 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman, with 157 receiving yards and two touchdowns and 57 tackles on defense… three-year team captain… also competed in basketball, track and baseball.
