#90 Brian Allen Season 2022-23

2025 -- Played in all 13 games... had 16 tackles (seven solo, nine assists), 0.5 QB sacks for six yards, two QB pressures,  one recovered fumble, and one pass breakup on the season while Iowa's defense led the nation in fourth down conversion percentage (23.8), and ranked fifth in first down defense (204), eighth in scoring defense (15.6), ninth in total defense (280.4), and 10th in passing defense (172.7)... collected three tackles (one solo, two assists) in 38-28 win at Rutgers... recorded a season-high three tackles (two solo, one assist) in 25-24 win over Penn State... collected two tackles (one solo, one assist) and recovered his first career fumble in 40-16 win at Nebraska... had two tackles (one solo, one assist) in 15-20 loss to #11/12 Indiana... recorded two assisted tackles, including 0.5 QB sacks for six yards, in 34-27 win over #14 Vanderbilt in the ReliaQuest Bowl... collected one solo tackle and one QB pressure in 20-17 win over Michigan State... recorded one assisted tackle and his first pass break-up of the season in 37-0 shutout at Wisconsin... letterwinner.

2024 -- Played in 11 games... had 17 tackles on the season (13 solo, four assists), including three QB sacks for 14 yards, 4.5 tackles for a loss of 19 yards, two QB pressures and one pass break-up on the season... matched a career-high four tackles (career-high three solo, career-high one assist) in 20-32 loss at Michigan State... recorded career bests with four tackles (three solo, one assist), one QB sack for seven yards and one pass break-up as defense allowed just 189 yards in season-opening 40-0 shutout of Illinois State... recorded three tackles (two solo, one assist), including a career-high 2.5 tackles for a loss of nine yards, and one QB sack for four yards, in 38-21 win over Troy... tallied one QB pressure and his one solo tackle in 40-16 win over Washington was a QB sack for three yards... recorded one solo tackle and one QB pressure in 19-20 loss to Iowa State and in 7-35 loss at #3/3 Ohio State... letterwinner.

 

2023 Honors -- Team Leader Award, defense… 2023 -- Recorded one assisted tackle and one QB pressure in first career appearance in season-opening 24-14 win over Utah State… played in four games.

2022 -- Redshirted… did not see any game action.

High School Honors -- Team captain as a senior defensive end. Career -- Team posted a 5-4 record as a senior… recorded 44 tackles as a senior, including 8.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss… as a junior recorded nine tackles, five sacks, four tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one recovered fumble… 19 tackles as a sophomore, with three tackles for loss and one sack and two pass break-ups… on offense recorded two pass receptions and one rushing touchdown… as a freshman collected 12 tackles, with four tackles for loss, four pass break-ups, two recovered fumbles and one forced fumble.
