#44 Kenneth Merrieweather Season 2024-25

2025 -- Played in all 11 games... has 12 tackles (seven solo, four assists), including one for a loss of three three yards, and one QB pressure on the season while Iowa's defense is ranked eighth in the nation in total defense (267.9) and scoring defense (14.5), ninth in first-down defense (169), 12th in passing defense (166.3), and 14th in rushing defense (101.6)... recorded a career-high three solo tackles in 21-26 loss at #17 USC... collected two tackles (one solo, one assist) in 25-24 win over Penn State... recorded one solo tackle for a loss of three yards and one QB pressure in 34-7 season-opening win over UAlbany.

2024 -- Played in five games... his first career assisted tackle was a QB sack for six yards as defense allowed just 163 yards in 40-14 win over Northwestern... letterwinner.

 

 

2023 -- Did not see any game action.

High School Honors -- Named to Dream Team while earning first-team all-city and all-state honors as a junior and senior… Honor Roll student… Career -- Played defensive end, linebacker and tight end as a prep… helped prep team win back-to-back state championships, posting 24-4 record over final two seasons… recorded 52 tackles as a senior, with 18 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, four forced fumbles and two safeties… 39 tackles as a junior, with eight sacks, six tackles for loss and one interception return for a touchdown… team captain as a junior and senior… also competed in track as a prep.
