#6 Rachel West Season 2006-07

2008 as a Junior… Appeared in 41 games with 27 starts in the outfield… led the team with a .371 batting average and 19 stolen bases…collected 23 hits and 17 runs scored…2-3 with an RBI, run scored and stolen base in win over Utah Valley (March 9)…2-2 with an RBI, run scored and two stolen bases in win over Buffalo (March 8)…2-3 with two runs scored and three stolen bases in win over Tennessee Tech (Feb. 29).

2007 as a Sophomore… Appeared in 55 games with 48 starts in the outfield… ranked third on the team with a .331 batting average… lead team with 29 stolen bases… stole at least one base in 23 games including six two-steal games… scored 34 runs… collected two home runs, team-high four triples, two doubles and 10 RBI… went 2-5 with a home run and three RBI against San Jose State (March 11)… went 2-3 with a home run against North Dakota State (March 24).

2006 as a Freshman… Appeared in 52 games as pinch-runner… had surgery before season to repair shoulder damage and suffered hand injury during season… led team with 15 stolen bases on 22 attempts… scored 21 runs during regular season.

High School… Three-time first team all-conference and all-Hawkeye selection… two-time first-team all-district and all-state selection… holds eight school records… batted .547 as a junior and .459 as a senior… stole 77 bases in her career… hit a school record 21 triples… led high school team to back-to-back SE Superconference runner-up finishes… also lettered twice in basketball and track… two-time all-conference selection in basketball… lettered in golf, volleyball and soccer… honor roll student.
