Nic Robinson is in his second season as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator for the University of Iowa women’s golf program.
During his first season in Iowa City, Robinson helped the team win two tournament titles -- the Diane Thomason Invitational and Nashville Invitational. The two wins were the most for the program since the 1999-00 season. The Hawkeyes tallied three top-five finishes on the year.
Senior Paula Miranda posted a career-best 74.28 scoring average in 2024-25, posting one top 10 and five top 20 finishes. Sophomore Ximena Benites got her scoring average into the 70s, finishing with a pair of top 10 and five top 20 showings, while sophomore Maura Peters shaved more than three strokes off her scoring average (79.00 to 75.84) from her freshman to sophomore campaign.
Robinson joined the Hawkeyes following three seasons as an assistant coach at Tennessee. He has also coached collegiately at Charlotte and Asbury University.
In his three seasons in Knoxville, Robinson coached the Lady Vols to a pair of team NCAA Regional appearances. During the 2021-22 season, he coached Mikayla Bardwell to the NCAA Regionals as an individual.
The Vols had three top five finishes as a team and 13 top 10 individual showings during the 2023-24 season. The team earned runner-up honors at the Collegiate Invitational in the first tournament of the spring and closed out the year by placing sixth (of 12 teams) at the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional.
