2007-08 — NCAA Champion, defeating Michigan’s Eric Tannenbaum (5-2) in the finals… became the 17th four-time all-American and 14th two-time NCAA Champion with the win… scored 25 team points at NCAA Championships, leading the tournament field… placed second at Big Ten Championships, competing in his fourth-straight Big Ten finals… went 20-3 in collegiate competition and 8-2 in Big Ten duals… posted a 2-1 record at Carver-Hawkeye Arena… missed entire Big Ten dual season due to injury… underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee at the end of January… scoring 39 team points in dual competition… won Midlands title… earned Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors Dec. 19… won Kaufman-Brand Open title while competing unattached… led team in pins (12) and fastest fall (21 seconds), and ranked second in collegiate winning percentage (.870)… shared team Mike Howard Most Valuable Wrestler Award with sophomore Brent Metcalf… letterwinner.

2006-07 — NCAA Champion, defeating two-time defending NCAA Champion Johny Hendricks of Oklahoma State the finals (4-3)… named TheMat.com’s Wrestler of the Week for March 13-19… Big Ten Champion, defeating Michigan’s Eric Tannenbaum in the finals (5-2)… scored 21 team points at the Big Ten Championships, which ranked third among all tournament competitors… season record was 32-5 overall and 28-4 in collegiate matches… ended the season on a 12-match winning streak… went 16-3 in duals and 7-1 in Big Ten duals… scored 68 team points in dual competition, which led the team… also led the team in number of dual wins (16), falls (6), fastest fall (0:38) and major decisions (7)… ranked second on the team in collegiate wins (28), collegiate winning percentage (.875) and dual winning percentage (.842)… posted an 8-0 record at Carver-Hawkeye Arena… placed second at Midlands Championships… won Spartan Classic title while competing unattached… received Mike Howard Award given annually to the team’s most valuable wrestler and Most Pins Award… letterwinner.

2005-06 — all-American, placing third at 174 pounds at NCAA Championships… named Gorriaran Trophy winner at NCAA Championships, pinning four opponents in a combined total of 15:33… placed second at Big Ten Championships… posted a 21-4 season record, going 9-1 in dual matches and 3-0 in Big Ten duals… scored 45 team points in dual competition… missed eight dual meets due to injury… led team with 13 pins… went 4-0 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena… runner-up at Midlands Championships… earned team Most Pins and all-American awards… letterwinner.

2004-05 — all-American, placing second at 165 pounds at NCAA Championships… runner-up at Big Ten Championships… posted a 32-5 overall mark, going 27-5 in collegiate competition… went 12-2 in dual matches and 7-1 in Big Ten duals… led squad in team points scored in dual competition (51), major decisions (8), pins (11) and quickest pin time (0:46)… went 6-1 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena… named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week February 9… won title a Midlands Championships and placed third at Kaufman-Brand Open… named NWCA Rookie of the Year… earned team Mike Howard Most Valuable Wrestler award, most pins award and all-American award… letterwinner.

2003-04 — redshirted… recorded a 14-0 overall mark while wrestling unattached at 165 pounds… won titles at Northern Iowa Open, Upper Iowa Open and Cal-Davis Open… recorded one major decision, two technical falls and eight pins… won 163-pound gold medal at FILA Junior World Freestyle Team Trials, going 6-0.

High School — 2003 Dan Hodge Junior Trophy winner… Dapper Dan and Dream Team member… two-time national prep champion, helping team to three national titles during his career… first wrestler to earn Outstanding Wrestler honors at prep national championships twice… three-time AISCS all-American… prep career record of 169-7 included 127 pins and an undefeated senior campaign of 39-0… two-time Ironman champion, winning Beast of the East tournament title senior year… won senior national title, earning Outstanding Wrestler honors senior year… team captain as a senior… coaches were Jeff Buxton, Solomon Fleckman, Nate Burroughs, Wayne Catan and Jim Frick.

Personal — born June 16, 1984… son of Mark and Cathy Perry… his father and uncles wrestled and coached wrestling at Oklahoma State University.
