Courtney Spears Season 2007-08

2007-2008… Competed in the club eights at the Head of the Charles… member of the 2V8+ for each race in the spring season… posted a win over Kansas State at the Longhorn Invitational at the four seat… contributed to the Hawkeyes first place team finish with a win over George Washington in the George Washington Invitational… placed third in the Petite Finals at the Big Ten Championships… earned a first place finish in Final C at the South-Central Regionals… sat in the six seat for the final four regattas.

2006-2007… Novice member…raced first novice eight and second varsity eight…sat stroke seat in the N8+ that placed third and medaled at Big Ten Championships…helped 2V8+ clinch first in Final C at the Central Regional Sprints.

Before Iowa… Lettered four years in softball and one in volleyball… softball team captain as a senior… volleyball team won 2004 regional championships… National Honor Society member.

Personal… Born April 11, 1988… daughter of Jeffry and Debora Spears… journalism and mass communication major.
