SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of Iowa track and field team sent four student-athletes to the Husky Invitational this weekend. Senior Erik Sowinski and junior Jeff Thode represented the Hawkeyes in the invitational portion of the meet.
Sowinski ran to an eighth place finish in the 800-meter invite posting a time of 1:49.23. Thode ran a time of 4:06.11 in the mile invite to earn a 20th place finish.
Junior Nick Holmes and freshman Kevin Lewis both competed in the 3,000 meters. Holmes finished 17th with a time of 8:19.84, while Lewis finished 41st with a time of 8:37.09.
The Hawkeyes will return to action hosting the Iowa Invite on Feb. 17.
