The top-ranked University of Iowa women's wrestling team will compete in the Soldier Salute on Dec. 29-30 at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.
Session I begins at 10 a.m. (CT) on Sunday followed by Session II at 3:30 p.m. Session III is set for 11 a.m. on Monday and the tournament will conclude with Session IV at 5 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Hawkeyes had 16 athletes travel to Naperville, Illinois for the North Central College Open on December 15th. The team earned six top-three finishes with three Hawkeyes winning individual titles, including Nanea Estrella (138 lbs), Macey Kilty (145 lbs) and Kylie Welker (180 lbs).
Rianne Murphy (103) and Alivia White (207) each made the finals and placed second in their respective weight classes.
The other Hawkeyes who placed include Val Solorio (110, 3rd), Cali Leng (124, 6th), Emmily Patneaud (131, 6th), Danni Swihart (138, 5th) and Katja Osteen (207, 5th).
PREVIEWING SOLDIER SALUTE
22 Hawkeyes will compete in the 2024 Soldier Salute at Xtream Arena in Coralville, including 2023 Soldier Salute champions Sterling Dias, Ava Bayless and Brianna Gonzalez. Iowa is looking to defend its 2023 Soldier Salute team title. Iowa enters the weekend ranked No. 1 in the NWCA polls for the third straight poll. Dias (103 lbs.) will make her return to the mat after getting injured in the first weekend of the season and sophomore Lilly Luft (138 lbs.) will make her season debut.
