The University of Iowa softball team defeated Maryland in game three of their series on Sunday afternoon at the Maryland Softball Stadium. The Hawkeyes beat the Terrapins, 7-2, sweeping the series.

Hawkeyes Dominate Terrapins in Doubleheader

The University of Iowa softball team swept Maryland in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at the Maryland Softball Stadium. The Hawkeyes defeated the Terrapins in game one, 6-1, and game two, 9-0, in five innings.

University of Iowa student-athletes Soo-Jin Berry (softball), Stephen Buchanan (men’s wrestling), and Lucy Olsen (women’s basketball) were named March’s Student-Athletes of the Month, the Iowa Student-Athlete Advisory Committee announced on Friday.

The Iowa softball team defeated Indiana, 7-6, on Saturday at Andy Mohr Field. The game began at noon and concluded at 9:20 p.m. after numerous rain delays and a suspension of play.

Hawkeyes Sweep Home Opener

The University of Iowa softball team swept St. Thomas in a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon at Bob Pearl Field. The Hawkeyes took game one, 3-1, before securing a walk off win in eight innings, 1-0, in game two.
