2005 – redshirted while recovering from shoulder surgery.

High School – Gatorade and Louisville Slugger Iowa Player of the Year as a senior… third team all-american… Mississippi Valley Conference Player of the Year as a junior… three-time first team all-state and two-time all-state Super Team… hit .340 with 11 home runs as a senior… struck out 243 batters in sophomore and junior years… led Kennedy High School to back-to-back conference titles and a runner up finish in the state tournament as a junior… four-year letterwinner and first team all-state selection in bowling… bowled two 300 games.
