#15 Jeff Engel Season 2005-06

2005 – Played in 23 games, starting 17… became Iowa’s primary leftfielder against righthanders in the final three weeks of the season, hitting .375 after May 7… hit .346 in Big Ten play… six of seven RBIs came in conference play… started both games of the Big Ten Tournament.

2004 – Saw action in 10 games, starting five… started four games in Big Ten play… hit .500 (3-of-6) with runners in scoring position… went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored against Illinois State (May 19).

High School – Played on the American Legion World Series… selected to the all-Tournament team… led legion team to a conference championship, regional championship and a national runner-up finish while batting .414 with 4 HR, 55 RBI and 8 stolen bases in 2002… batted .435 with 7 HR, 70 RBI and 10 SB in 2003.
