2007 – Second team all-Big Ten… saw action in 51 games, starting 46 including all 30 Big Ten games… hit .354 in conference play with 26 RBIs… tied teammate Kevin Hoef for Big Ten lead with seven sacrifice flies… had a team-high 15 game hitting streak… had 16 multi-hit games… picked up at least one hit in 38 of 46 starts… hit .412 (28-of-68) with runner in scoring position… served as Iowa’s clean-up hitter… hit .466 (7-of-15) with six RBIs in a four-game series against Illinois (Apr. 20-22)… went 3-of-5 with a double, triple and three RBIs against Minnesota (Apr. 16)… went 3-of-5 with a stolen base against UNI (April 17)…went 2-of-3 with three RBIs against UNI at the Corridor Classic (May 15).
Before Iowa – Played two years at Minnesota State Community Technical College… two-time player of the year… two-time all-American… hit .420 with 10 home runs and 45 RBIs as a freshman, hit .430 with three home runs, 30 RBIs and 28 stolen bases as a sophomore… played both second base and shortstop… 2006 Northwoods League North Division All-Star.
