High School — Coon Rapids High School three-year starter for coaches Jerry Coe and Don Bright… two-time honoree to the Star Tribune All-Metro Team… two-time all-conference and all-state selection as a senior… captain and team MVP… hit .346 as a junior and followed with a .493 average as a senior when he hit seven homers, collected 29 RBIs and scored 27 runs… pitched 50 innings his senior year, striking out 34 batters while walking only 10 and finishing 5-1 with a 1.27 ERA… played for Coon Rapids Legion Post 334 and coach Tom Yelle, hitting .421 with 12 homers and 63 RBI in 2004… pitched 57 innings and finished 6-2 with seven saves, 51 strikeouts, 12 walks and a 2.33 ERA… set team records for hits (78) and triples (11) in a season… named all-conference.
