2018 Honors — Iowa’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient. 2018 — Started 31 games — 21 at first base and 10 as the designated hitter… hit .245 (27-for-110) with 26 runs and 13 RBIs… hit safely in 24 games and reached safely in 31 contests… had three multi-hit games — all two-hit contests… hit .375 in series win over No. 12 Oklahoma State (5/4-6)… went 2-for-5 with a double in the series finale… went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in the series finale against No. 7 Michigan (4/29)… it was his third home run of the season… tallied a two-hit game against Missouri (5/1), finishing 2-for-5 with two runs scored… connected on his second home run of the season — a two-run shot — in Iowa’s 13-9 victory over Bradley (3/28)… hit a walk-off, two-run home run in Iowa’s 6-4 victory over Loras College (3/21)… it was his first career walk-off home run… had a pinch-hit RBI double in the game two victory at UAB (3/3).

2016 Honors — Big Ten Tournament All-Tournament team selection… Academic All-Big Ten honoree. 2016 — Hit .264 with 25 RBIs and 18 runs… hit three home runs and drew 20 walks… has started 30 games at four different positions — 23 at DH, two at first base, four in outfield, and one at catcher… reached base safely in 13 straight games from Feb. 21-March 19… hit .357 with five RBIs and two runs scored in four Big Ten Tournament games… went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs in the opening round win over Minnesota (5/25)… had an RBI single during Iowa’s ninth-inning rally and eventual 5-4, 10-inning win over Ohio State (5/27)… had hits in two games at Penn State, hitting .500 (2-of-4) with an RBI… finished 2-for-3 in series finale at Ohio State (5/8)… went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI in the series finale at Indiana (4/17)… connected on his third home run of the season — a two-run shot — at Minnesota (4/3), finishing the game 1-for-3 with two RBIs… hit .333 in the series against Maryland (3/25-27), including a 3-for-4, two double, two RBI performance in a game one victory… belted his second home run against Savannah State (3/13), finishing 1-for-3 with two runs and an RBI… went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBIs, and five runs scored against Northwestern College (3/8)… tied a school record with five runs… hit .500 in a pair of games at Southern Illinois, finishing 2-for-2 with two walks in the finale (3/6)… had a pinch-hit two-run single against Chicago State (2/28).

2015 — Appeared in 26 games with 15 starts — 11 at catcher, two at first base, and two at designated hitter… hit .217 (13-of-60) with seven RBIs and seven runs… had a lead-off pinch-hit single and scored a run to jumpstart Iowa’s ninth inning come-from-behind 4-3 victory over Northwestern (4/17)… finished 1-for-2 with an RBI double in series finale against No. 19 Indiana (3/29)… tallied his first career triple, finishing 1-for-3 with a run against AIB (3/11)… went 1-for-2 with two RBIs in series finale at Middle Tennessee (3/8)… collected hits in his first four career games… had a pair of doubles in two games and two RBIs against Cincinnati (2/27-28)… made start at first base against Cincinnati (2/27)… posted his second-straight two-hit game, going 2-for-4 with a run scored against Missouri State (2/21)… made his first career start against George Mason (2/15), finishing 2-for-4 with a run and RBI… also threw out both would-be base stealers… named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Feb. 16.

High School — Played for the 17U Ontario Blue Jays in 2013, leading the team with a .396 batting average with four home runs, seven triples, and 15 doubles… also posted a .610 slugging and .510 on-base percentage… was a Perfect Game High School first-team selection for Canada/Puerto Rico… led Blue Jays to a runner-up finish at the AAU World Series in Florida, hitting .750 in nine games… the squad was ranked 46th by Perfect Game for all 17U teams in North America… competed in a Tournament 12 Showcase at the Rogers Centre, where he was an all-star catcher… high school coach was Dan Bleiwas.
