2019 Honors — Big Ten Player of the Week on April 29. 2019 — Started 28 games — 14 at first base, eight in right field, six at designated hitter, and once in left field… hit .299 (35-of-117) with 24 RBIs, 20 runs, and 11 doubles… had nine multi-hit games (five 2-hit, four 3-hit)… had eight doubles in Big Ten play, which tied for fifth in the league… went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI in series opener at Maryland (5/16)… went 1-for-5 with a first-inning grand slam — Iowa’s first of the season –in a series-opening victory over Michigan State (5/10)… named Big Ten Player of the Week on April 29 — Iowa’s first since Jake Adams in 2017 — after hitting .714 (5-of-7) in three-game series at Ohio State (4/26-28) with five RBIs and three runs… had back-to-back two-hit games, finishing 2-for-3 with a double and home run — the first of his career — in game one and 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs in a game two, series-clinching win… had the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning in Iowa’s 3-2 series-opening victory over No. 30 Nebraska (4/19) and finished 2-for-4 with a double and run scored in the victory… went 3-for-3 with two doubles, four RBIs, and a run scored in series-clinching victory over Rutgers (4/6)… had a pinch-hit triple in the win over Clarke (4/2)… went 3-for-5 with three doubles, four RBIs and two runs scored in series opener at Evansville (3/9)… three doubles tied a single-game school record… went 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI at Hawaii (2/23) for his first career multi-hit game… had his first career hit against Marshall on Feb. 17.
At Southeastern CC (2017-2018) — Two-time second-team all-region honoree… hit .351 (59-of-168) with 12 doubles, five home runs, and two triples as a sophomore… had 41 RBIs and scored 48 runs… posted a .486 on-base and .536 slugging percentage… posted 15 multi-hit games and 10 multi-hit contests… hit .362 with 60 runs, 59 RBIs, and a .458 on-base and .624 slugging percentage… led the NJCAA with 29 doubles and had eight home runs, two triples, and nine steals.
High School — Four-time all-state selection in high school, earning first-team honors sophomore through senior seasons… named to the All-State Elite Team as a senior… helped lead team to two conference titles, a state runner-up finish in 2015 and a semifinal appearance in 2016… three-time academic all-state selection…also was all-state in football. all-conference in basketball, and a member of the 4×100 state champion relay and third-place 4×200 relay… high school coach was Sheldon Card.
Personal — Born Feb. 19, 1998, in Des Moines, Iowa… son of Sonya Bacon and Rob Adreon… has a younger brother, Caleb… father played collegiate baseball at William Penn and grandfather, Tom Adreon, played football at William Penn… cousin, Chelsea Thomas, was an All-America pitcher at Missouri and a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team… cousin, Collin Thomas, played collegiate baseball at Upper Iowa… majoring in interdepartmental studies.
