Women’s Golf to Host Junior Golf Camp

Feb. 10, 2012

IOWA CITY, Iowa —The University of Iowa women’s golf program will host the 2012 Junior Hawks Golf Camp. The camp will feature five two-hour skills sessions beginning June 24.

The five sessions — June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15 and July 22 — are geared toward helping young golfers develop the fundamentals of the game. UI head coach Megan Menzel and Laura Cilek will serve as camp instructors.

The camp will provide campers with new practice ideas and drills that allow them to continue to improve their golf game. It will also be a fun, interactive learning environment with games, competitions and prizes.

During July 22’s final session, there will be a parent-child skills challenge.

The clinic will take place from 3:30-5:30 p.m. during each of the five dates. It is open to kids (both boys and girls) ages 6-12. Cost is $150 per camper or $125 if you register by May 25. (There is a $20 discout per camper when you sign up 2 or more campers per family).
