Erin Rubright Joins Soccer Staff

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Erin Rubright joins the University of Iowa soccer staff as the Director of Operations, Head Soccer Coach Dave Diianni announced on Friday.

“I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Erin to Iowa City,” said Diianni. “She will be a pivotal piece in our day-to-day operation, mainly working with our players to assist the program in travel, recruiting and oversight of our managers.

Erin came highly recommended by some coaches who I really respect. Her experience in ops, leadership and on-campus player recruitment will be a great asset to Iowa Soccer. I am certain Erin will be a great addition to our staff.”

Rubright was the director of operations for Xavier Women’s Lacrosse from 2021 to 2023. She was responsible for all administrative and operational tasks for the program including community outreach, official and unofficial visits, summer camp ops, equipment, team and coaches travel and oversight of the program’s managers.

Rubright served the Temple Football program as an equipment manager and eventually worked in player development and operations as a graduate assistant.

Prior to her graduate assistant position, Rubright was a student worker within the Liberty Football program and specialized in recruiting. She managed the recruiting database, handled social media communication and relations with recruits, assisted in the execution of Junior Days, official visit weekends and gameday recruiting events.

Rubright was a 2020 graduate from Liberty University and received her bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a minor in Youth Ministries. She is a recent graduate of Xavier University where she finished her master’s in Coaching Education and Athlete Development.
