Join one of the nation’s premier collegiate dance teams—where your experience is defined by a dual commitment: supporting elite Hawkeye athletics and competing at the highest level. 

The Iowa Dance Team delivers high-energy performances across football, basketball, wrestling, and more—while consistently ranking in the top 10 at UDA College Nationals for 17 consecutive seasons. 

As part of the Iowa Spirit Squad alongside the Cheer team and Herky, you’ll train and perform with 50+ driven student-athletes, committing 15–20 hours per week while maintaining strong academic standing. 

We’re seeking versatile, coachable dancers ready to perform in front of 70,000 fans at Kinnick Stadium—and step onto the national stage as competitors. 

This team demands discipline, passion, and consistency. Review all expectations carefully. To begin:
