Manhattan, KS — The University of Iowa men’s golf team is currently in 8th place after two rounds of play at the Jim Colbert Invitational. The third round will start Tuesday morning at 9.
Leading the way for the Hawkeyes is true freshman Bennett Hammerberg. Hammerberg, tied for 19th, scored a 73 for the Hawkeyes in the first round and followed with a 77 in the second. Sophomore Brian deBuhr is tied for 27th with a two-round total of 152. True freshman Jon Feldick, carded a 154 after the first two rounds, which puts him tied for 31st. Todd Larson and Robby Storm are tied for 36th with first and second round scores of 155. Matt Larson finished the day tied for 48th with a first day total of 163.
