Hawkeyes 11th After Day One of First Energy

The University of Iowa men’s golf team is sitting in 11th place after the first two rounds at the First Energy Intercollegiate. The Hawkeyes shot a 299 in each of today’s rounds.

The Hawkeyes were led by senior Cade Pleggenkuhle . Pleggenkuhle shot a 143 today, putting him only six strokes back from the leader and in a tie for tenth. Brian deBuhr made up for his first round 79 by following with a one under 71, tying him for 45th. Freshman Jon Feldick shot 153 and is tied for 61st. Andy Tiedt is in 67th after a first day total of 154 and Erik Feldick is tied for 74th with 156.

Tee times for tomorrow’s final round begin tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
