Hawkeyes Qualify 35 Entries to NCAA First Round

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa track and field has qualified 35 entries (18 women’s, 17 men’s) to the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West first rounds in College Station, Texas, on May 28-31. The four-day meet takes place at E.B. Cushing Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M University.

Athletes earn a berth to the NCAA preliminaries by ranking within the top 48 of their respective individual events. The fastest 24 relays qualify to the NCAA West First Rounds.

Qualification to the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships is dependent on placing at the preliminaries. The top 12 individual times and marks and the 12 fastest relays at the preliminaries book their spot to the NCAA Championships, which are held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, June 11-14.

Multi-events are not contested at the NCAA First Rounds. Pauline Bikembo (heptathlon) and Abraham Vogelsang (decathlon) have already qualified to the NCAA Championships.
