IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa track and field program welcomed 31 signees, including 16 women and 15 men, to the 2024-25 roster, Director Joey Woody announced on Wednesday.
“I am really pleased with our recruiting last year for our incoming athletes, both international and stateside,” Woody said. “Our coaching staff did a phenomenal job going out and adding a lot of talented athletes — many of whom are ranked in the top 15 in the world in their respective event and age group. This is the most talented group of incoming prospects we’ve ever had coming in the door — all of whom will be immediate contributors at Big Ten’s and NCAA’s. We are excited to get them in an Iowa uniform and continue to build our program to the top of the conference and NCAA.”
This year’s incoming class represents 11 states and features eight student-athletes from the state of Iowa. The Hawkeyes bring in a pair of student-athletes from both France and Nigeria, and one each from Colombia, England, Kenya and Norway.
