118 Hawkeyes Earn Spring Academic All-Big Ten Honors

IOWA CITY, Iowa – One hundred eighteen University of Iowa student-athletes have been named to the 2025 Spring Academic All-Big Ten team, the conference office announced Wednesday. The list includes student-athletes from baseball (12), men's golf (2), women's golf (4), rowing (22), softball (13), women's tennis (6), men's track and field (16), women's track and field (27) and women’s wrestling (16).

The 16 women’s wrestling honorees are a school record, while the softball tied its program record with 13 selections for a second straight season.

A total of 2,826 students competing in spring and at-large sports were honored, including 256 in baseball, 94 men's and 79 women's golfers, 174 men's and 211 women's lacrosse students, 61 men's and 358 women's rowing students, 194 softball students, 73 men's and 98 women's tennis students, 359 men's and 474 women's track and field students, 20 acrobatics and tumbling students, six bowling students, 42 men's and 34 women's fencing students, six pistol and eight rifle students, 36 men's volleyball students, 22 men's and 63 women's water polo students, 55 women's ice hockey students, 20 women's lightweight rowing students, 55 women's sand volleyball students, 12 synchronized swimming students and 16 women's wrestling students.

One hundred and two student-athletes carried a perfect grade point average, including five Hawkeye track and field student-athletes – Alli Bookin-Nosbisch, Grace Bookin-Nosbisch, Duke Faley, Lillian Schmidt and Miles Wilson.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of May 1 for spring sports, who have been enrolled fulltime at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
